Looking to commune with nature this spring? Head to Sedona and soak up its sun-dappled sandstone and spiritual savvy. Here’s what’s new in Arizona’s vortex capital.
Sky Rock Sedona
With great views and good vibes, Sky Rock is a design-driven hotel in west Sedona that was acquired and “reimagined” by Marriott in December 2023, reopening to the public in March 2024. Trails just outside the hotel offer an opportunity to hike and explore, and a patio boasts panoramic views. Inside, there’s no shortage of ways to relax, with a year-round heated pool and lobby bar for Southwestern-inspired bites and mezcal cocktails. On-site activities include stargazing, soul-mapping and more. marriott.com/en-us/hotels/flgsx-sky-rock-sedona/overview
FreeForm Coffee Roasters
Within walking distance from Oak Creek is FreeForm Coffee Roasters, rebranded from Garland Coffee Company in July 2020. FreeForm sustainably sources its product from partner farmers around the world before roasting it locally. Bonus: For every bag of beans purchased, they’ll plant a tree in a deforested area. In addition to their unique blends, the coffee bags are notable for their beautiful labels, courtesy of artist Andrew Reiland.

Crystal Vortex
The third and newest location of this local crystal shop opened in March 2023. Pop in to peruse a variety of crystals, jewelry and carvings, among other precious stone pieces, all purportedly charged by Sedona’s “sacred healing energy.”
