Rest and relaxation are key to a healthy lifestyle, and there’s no better place to catch some z’s than Castle Hot Springs Resort in Morristown, about an hour north of Phoenix. As part of the remote resort’s health and wellness offerings, sleep researcher and scientist Dr. Rebecca Robbins has been leading immersive Sleep Retreats a few times a year since 2021. The retreats started as a response to the emerging trend of sleep tourism and emphasize the principles of intentional sleep, says resort manager Kevin McGuire. “Our main goal is to provide a transformative reset and equip our guests with useful techniques and tools to combat sleep deprivation at home,” he says. Robbins guides guests through meditations, discussions and activities that boost circadian rhythms and encourage restorative sleep. Guests can also enjoy yoga, farm tours, meals with ingredients grown on-premises and unlimited access to the property’s healing hot springs. This year’s retreats will be held February 15-18 and June 6-9. Rates start at $2,125-$2,500 per night, with an additional $500 per person for the Sleep Retreat.
