The organizers of Arizona’s premier homegrown live-music event M3F have announced the lineup for its hotly anticipated 20th year.
To celebrate its second decade, the two-day fest will be held at a new venue: Steele Indian School Park in Midtown Phoenix. M3F (formerly McDowell Mountain Music Festival) is unique in that it is an entirely nonprofit endeavor – 100 percent of its proceeds are donated to local charities. Since its inception in 2004, the festival has raised more than $5 million for community causes like Arizona Helping Hands, Rosie’s House, Desert Foothills Land Trust, Phoenix Rescue Mission and more.
Slated for Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2, the 2024 festival will once again be opening applications for the M3F Fund, a public program that allows other Valley 501(c)(3) organizations to secure funding. Last year, nearly $200,000 was donated to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Phoenix Children’s and St. Vincent de Paul.
Originally launched by John Largay as a team-building exercise for his North Phoenix general contracting firm, Wespac Construction, the festival has grown into a cultural phenomenon and philanthropic flagship for the City of Phoenix.
M3F also prioritizes sustainability, recycling more than 80 percent of the festival’s waste. Fans can expect plenty of art installations, photo ops and interactive experiences. Local food, beverage and retail vendors will also be in attendance.
This year’s lineup continues to build on the festival’s reputation of bringing a mix of both globally renowned and rising musical artists spanning many genres. Highlights include indie heartthrob Dominic Fike, EDM darling Lane 8, British crooner Bakar, nu-disco duo Poolside and Midwestern rockers Hippo Campus. See below for the full lineup.
