To honor the impact small businesses have on Phoenix’s community and economy, Mayor Kate Gallego launched the Legacy Small Business Program in March. “With over 90 percent of businesses in Phoenix employing less than 100 people, our small businesses are the driving force behind our city’s growth,” Gallego (pictured above with inaugural recipient Elizabeth White of Mrs. White’s Golden Rule Cafe) says. The program recognizes small businesses that have served the city for 25 years or longer. Businesses can apply at phoenix.gov/mayor/smallbiz.
