Two above ground trails explore the Chihuahuan semi-desert grasslands and oak-juniper forests that surround Kartchner Caverns in Southern Arizona. Both trails unspool breathtaking views of the Huachuca Mountains add provide insight into the geological forces that shaped the area cavernous, limestone terrain.

GETTING THERE:
From Tucson, take Interstate 10 east to exit 302 for State Route 90 (Sierra Vista/Fort Huachuca). Go 9 miles south on SR 90 to the park entrance on the right. Gate hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. There’s a $7 day use fee per vehicle. Park hours are 9:30 – 5:00 p.m. daily except on holidays.
