A new music festival featuring a diverse medley of local and national alternative, indie, pop and rock artists is coming to Downtown Phoenix this December.

Presented by local promoter Psyko Steve and nonprofit organization Downtown Phoenix, Inc., the two-day boutique fest will take place Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4 at Margaret T. Hance Park.

The event was officially announced this morning at a press conference in Downtown Phoenix, which featured remarks from Phoenix mayor Kate Gallego and Arizona congressman Greg Stanton and a sneak preview performance from local band Breakup Shoes, who will be playing at the festival.

National headlining acts include Beach House, Portugal. The Man, Bleachers, Tegan and Sara, and Japanese Breakfast. The local lineup features some of Arizona’s most promising musicians, including Phoenix funk sensations Black Carl, who are reuniting for the event, and up-and-comer Sydney Sprague, who has been keeping busy opening for popular performers like Jimmy Eat World and Dashboard Confessional. Beloved local bands Playboy Manbaby, Glixen and Miniature Tigers round out the bill. Visit the event’s website for the full festival lineup.

General admission and VIP weekend tickets to the festival will go on sale this Friday, August 26 at 10 a.m. PST via zonamusicfest.com and seetickets.us. Single-day tickets will become available closer to the event date.
