Uncle Bear’s Brewery has been around a long time and Barkley’s is one of our long-time favorites from them.

An aromatic yet approachable dark style of beer, Barkley’s is thin and crushable and a good gateway Porter for those looking to grow into the style.

PHOENIX editor-in-chief Craig Outhier joins us for this episode. We test Craig & Johann’s taste buds to see if they can correctly guess the mystery beer: BRI’s Morning Sex coffee milk stout.

Craig also mentions the former brewpub that once occupied the space across from Sun Devil Stadium. We looked it up and remembered it as Dave’s Electric Brewpub, which later became Beast Brews, Mad Hatter and several other failed ventures since Dave’s closed in 2013. The space is currently a Mr. Fries Man location.
