Giselle Ruggeberg has always had a deep love of two things: plants and giving gifts. These penchants were the inspiration behind Jade & Clover, a plant and gift shop that features a wide range of lifestyle products. She opened her first location in the hip Deep Ellum neighborhood in Dallas, Texas, in 2016. “It wasn’t just something that happened overnight,” Ruggeberg says. “I was just trying to make it super interactive, and it evolved and grew over time.”
Jade & Clover expanded into Phoenix in autumn 2021, settling into the same complex as Postino Arcadia, which Ruggeberg calls “the perfect place” for her blooming business. A signature feature of Jade & Clover’s is its interactive succulent bar, where customers can build custom terrariums. “It’s just about getting your hands dirty,” Ruggeberg says. “We’ve done, like, hundreds of them, and not one is ever the same.”
Jade & Clover sells a variety of gifts and plants, as well as self-care products, party supplies and home décor. “We’re just a really fun gift store with plants and good vibes,” she says. “People come in here and the first thing they say is, ‘It just feels like magic in here.’”
