Goose Island’s Bourbon County Brand Stout doesn’t have to steal all the headlines on Black Friday. There are several special new releases from locally owned craft brewers to be had the day after Thanksgiving. Here are three Valley beermakers giving us the goods to kick off the holiday shopping season.
The yearly Black Friday collaboration with Dark Sky Brewing in Flagstaff is near and it is stout. Flannel Buddies blends flavors of maple syrup, cocoa nibs, pecans and coffee for an imperial stout that’s best enjoyed on a night chilly enough for a flannel shirt. Goldwater is also releasing two more new beers Friday in cans: Drink all these responsibly with buddies and don’t get into a bar fight or get blacked out.
The days are merry and bright thanks to this upcoming release. Brewed with tastes of graham cracker, marshmallow and chocolate, skip the campfire and dive right into this 17% ABV Russian Imperial Stout, available in cans and on draft at both Tombstone locations.
The video game–themed Avondale brewery is opening at 6 a.m. Friday with a half dozen variants of its flagship Black Mage stout. From a Cherry Pie version to Flan and Macadamia, the early birds will get the best of 8-Bit’s annual tradition.
