Explore the Beauty of the Desert at Night
Guests experience a magical twilight adventure during self-paced Flashlight Tours, which provide an opportunity to see, hear and feel the desert night, including nighthawks, snakes, insects and night-blooming flowers. Socially distanced activities for all ages are offered, including “Painting with Light.” A nighttime farmers’ market is new this year, featuring locally grown produce, local honey, handmade soaps and artisanal crafts. Check out Some Hot Wheels in Fountain Hills
Dozens of custom cars and trucks from across the Valley fill a Fountain Hills parking lot during the Summer Nights Car Show, Aug. 13. Live music, door prizes and raffles add to the fun, with proceeds benefiting local charities. Celebrate the Music of a Latina Icon
Members of Los Chicos del 512 take fans back to 1995 with The Selena Experience, Aug. 14. The show is a tribute to Selena Quintanilla, who in her all-too-short life became the top-selling Latin artist of the ’90s, earning such nicknames as the “Queen of Tejano Music” and “Mexican Madonna.” 3 p.m. $20-$40. Paint, Sip and Cheer on the D-backs
Wine, art and baseball come together at Paint at the Park, an exclusive painting and wine-tasting event at Chase Field, Aug. 15. Each ticket includes a seat in the Banner Health Centered Field Patio to watch the Diamondbacks take on the San Diego Padres, wine tasting courtesy of Chateau Ste. Based on the hit 1996 film, The Spitfire Grill comes to the stage Aug. 13-Sept. 5.
