Anthony Herro, DDS, was born and raised in Phoenix just a few minutes from what would become his practice, Dental on Central. He attended Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix, and then college and dental school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

Dr. Herro has been in practice in Phoenix since 2005, and focuses on providing compassionate, quality care for all his patients. He utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to treatment by collaborating with his onsite team of dental specialists, general dentists, and medical doctors, to diagnose and create individualized, patient-centric treatment modalities.

The unique perspectives and skills of each of the dentists and doctors result in truly comprehensive care. This approach saves Dr. Herro’s patients both time and money, as what might normally require multiple visits can often be accomplished during the same appointment.

The most rewarding part of Dr. Herro’s work is providing care to patients with special needs, whose conditions include mental and physical disabilities, autism and spectrum disorders, behavioral syndromes, high anxiety, and medical complexities. As a result, many of Dr. Herro’s patients require sedation or general anesthesia for their treatment. Fortunately for both Dr. Herro and his patients, his father is an MD Anesthesiologist and Dr. Herro has the good fortune of being in practice with him.  His father’s expertise, empathy, and patient advocacy have had the most profound influence on the way that Dr. Herro has shaped his own practice.

Dr. Herro is currently President of the Arizona State Dental Board, and was adjunct faculty at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health for ten years where he supervised dental students and residents performing dental procedures on sedated patients. He and his wife, Cecelia, are the proud parents of three beautiful children.
