Grab a seat around the virtual campfire for some storytelling on May 26. The latest installment of the Gather storytelling series, “Fast Friends,” explores the themes of speed and camaraderie (and multiple connotations of words) through a trio of tales. One of those tales will be told by guest host Marshall Shore, the “Hip Historian” who makes clashing patterns look cool and has spent years digging up the strangest gems about Phoenix to create a treasure trove of local lore.

Shore will be joined by two other mystery storytellers who spin their own yarns on “Fast Friends.” The conversation that ensues will surely be entertaining and informative, and the audience can participate in a fun Q&A session with the hosts.

“Fast Friends” is free and starts at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 26. The Gather storytelling series is presented by Arizona State University’s Kerr Cultural Center and can be viewed (live and previously recorded) on the ASU Kerr YouTube page and streamed live on the Kerr Cultural Center Facebook page.
