When Coley Arnold and Lindsey Holt met more than a decade ago at a church group for newlyweds, the two could not have imagined the success they’d have together. In 2011, the friends started Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market, which became a Valley institution. Looking for something a little more stable, the duo opened their first brick-and-mortar store in February 2020. “It was kind of a pipe dream,” Arnold says. “We always had the idea that one day we would open a store.” The Vintage Arcadia occupies a bright and airy space on 44th Street and Osborn Road. “We have a wonderful mix of vintage as well as new goods,” Arnold says. “In addition to our one-of-a-kind vintage finds, we support over 50 small handmade businesses, carrying everything from pottery from India to candles made right here in Phoenix.” Chestnut Fine Foods & Provisions is also part of the storefront, offering its signature pastries and heartier fare. “The Vintage Arcadia was built to give our community a place to shop, dine and gather together,” she says. “We had the community in mind as we built every detail.”
