It was a mighty big week for craft beer lovers in Arizona as Scout Distribution brought in a flood of great product from out-of-state breweries including Toppling Goliath from Iowa and Artifex Brewing and Karl Strauss Brewing from California. Those are certainly all solid breweries, but let’s dive into what’s new from our local Arizona-based craft breweries this week because we have 11 we’re very excited to sample this weekend. Support local and drink responsibly!

Sempiternal from Goldwater Brewing (Scottsdale and Mesa)

Collab alert! We couldn’t be more excited to witness and bless this bond of doubly hazy IPA goodness from the great minds at Goldwater and The Shop Beer Co. This 8% ABV hazy is available in cans at Goldwater and on draft at The Shop Beer Co. starting Friday.

Goldwater is also releasing a new Blackberry Sour in cans and on draft on Friday.

All The Hops line from Tombstone Brewing Co. (Phoenix and Tombstone)

One of our favorite things about Tombstone Brewing is when it releases a series of beers in three levels of hoppyness: IPA, double IPA and triple IPA. All The Hops is this week’s offering in all three styles. After all, beer variety is the spice of life! Look for four-packs of this series at finer craft beer shops across the Valley.

Top Secret Battle Monkey from The Beer Research Institute (Mesa)

Coming in at 100 IBU’s and 10% ABV, this double IPA shouldn’t be a secret to Valley beer lovers anymore – let alone designated Top Secret status. Either way, this beer is so good you’ll want to battle your best buddy to grab the last one from the fridge. TSBM is available on draft and in crowlers

Forager from Kitsune Brewing (Phoenix)

This hopped up juicy IPA not only tickles the senses – it punches your nose and tastebuds with a big danky flavor from the Citra, Mosaic and Galaxy hops. This is one of our favorite new beers released in the last 12 months and a new batch is canned and hitting store shelves around the Valley. Trevor’s in Scottsdale is a great spot to find a four-pack.

Dirty Hop Water: Cash from Arizona Wilderness Brewing (Phoenix and Gilbert)

The late great Johnny Cash may have hardly ever sang beer drinking songs, but that’s not stopping Arizona Wilderness from honoring the man in black with their latest music-inspired beer in the Dirty Hop Water series. DHW: Cash uses a number of experimental hops to create a creamy hazy IPA that checks in 6.9% ABV. You’ll be singing some Folsom Prison Blues if you miss out on this one. It’s available in cans and on draft at both locations.

A fresh new batch of Double La Ciudad IPA is out this week, available in cans and on draft at both locations.

Optimus Lime Sour from Simple Machine Brewing (Phoenix)

You’ll want to unite your favorite beer glass with the contents of this fresh new batch of fruited sour from the superstars at Simple Machine.

Warm weekend temperatures stand no chance against Roaring 20’s American Light Lager, which drops Friday afternoon.
