Did improving your backyard lounging situation move to the top of your summer to-do list since we’ve been spending more time at home? Keep your business local at Paddy O’ Furniture. President and co-founder Tony Schindler has been in the furniture game since 1988. Back then, he was making PVC furniture in a garage and selling it outside of a Phoenix tree nursery.
Now Paddy O’ Furniture has six locations in the Valley and one in Nashville, Tennessee. The company designs and sources all of its own products, including the new eco-friendly Patriot collection. This line is constructed from a material that looks just like wood but is actually 95 percent reclaimed “lumber” made from recycled plastic milk jugs. Paired with Paddy O’s waterproof Bliss cushions, it is a fully made-in-the-United States collection.
Schindler says anyone around the country buying furniture from his company can be assured it will last in their backyards or patios. “It’s designed to exist in the desert… If it works in Phoenix, it works anywhere.”
