In our October 2019 issue, we reported that Arizona’s 7th congressional district – including south-central Phoenix and a portion of Glendale – was the deadliest place for pedestrians nationwide. In September, life insurance company TermLife2Go released a study that revealed the opposite effect in Chandler and Gilbert, who were No. 4 and No. 8, respectively, on a list of the 10 safest cities for pedestrians.
