Harrah’s Ak-Chin Hotel and Casino in the Ak-Chin Indian Community got a multi-million-dollar expansion and facelift this year. Here are our favorite nips and tucks.

Chop, Block & Brew
The wood-burning mesquite grill is your first clue that this isn’t your average casino cafeteria. By day, pop in for a gourmet burger (pictured) and boozy adult milkshake. By night, indulge in a fine dining feast of prime rib fondue, bone-in ribeye and pappardelle in clam sauce.

The Spa at Harrah’s Ak-Chin
The best part of the hotel’s new tower? The spa, of course. Since opening in August 2018, the spa has provided complimentary LED light therapy in each treatment room and a full spa menu capped with its signature Hungarian face massage.

Artwork
Eschewing bland corporate art, Harrah’s Ak-Chin collaborated with Ak-Chin Indian Community chairman Robert Miguel to create an art and design committee to work alongside the property’s architects to incorporate Native art in meaningful and culturally appropriate ways, including paintings, sculptures, photography, baskets and more, which are sprinkled throughout the hotel.
