Steven E. Schild, MD, is a radiation oncologist with a focus in the therapies for lung cancer, prostate cancer, skin cancer and metastases. Dr. Schild has been involved in academic radiation oncology since 1989, and has treated patients at all three of Mayo Clinic’s destination medical centers.  He has led medical research looking at various tumor sites.  Dr. Schild is a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) panel on guidelines for non-small cell lung cancer, mesothelioma, and thymic tumors. Dr. Schild previously co-authored the lung cancer guidelines for the American College of Chest Physicians.  He is a co-author of multiple clinical trials and over 500 peer-reviewed publications on cancer care.
