Samir H. Patel

Samir H. Patel, MD, is a radiation oncologist with a focus on skin and head and neck cancers. Dr. Patel serves as chair of head and neck radiation therapy group at Mayo Clinic and is an associate professor of Radiation Oncology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. He also directs multiple continuing education courses. He graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed a residency in radiation oncology at Henry Ford Hospital. Dr. Patel’s research focuses on proton beam therapy for head and neck cancers, and reducing the side effects of treatment. He has authored numerous papers in esteemed journals such as Lancet Oncology.
