Mitesh J. Borad, MD, is a physician-scientist with expertise in cancers of the liver, biliary tract, and pancreas. After oncology training at Tulane University, he completed postdoctoral studies at the Translational Genomics Research Institute. Dr. Borad’s research efforts are supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute, Department of Defense, and the FDA.
He serves as the Director of the Precision Cancer Therapeutics Program at the Mayo Clinic Center for Individualized Medicine and is a charter member of both the National Institutes of Health Drug Discovery and Pharmacology Study Section and the National Institutes of Health Hepatobiliary Cancer Task Force. Dr. Borad also serves as chair of the International Cholangiocarcinoma Research Network.
