Michele Y. Halyard, MD, is a radiation oncologist with expertise in breast cancer, and head and neck cancer. She is passionate about addressing health disparities and is the co-founder of Coalition of Blacks Against Breast Cancer. Dr. Halyard is a professor of Radiation Oncology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and Vice Dean of Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. She attended medical school and completed a residency at Howard University Hospital, and did a Radiation Oncology fellowship at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Halyard’s research focuses on symptom control and quality-of-life for cancer patients. She is a member of the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology Health Outcomes Committee.
