Kirsten Paynter, MD, is assistant professor, vice-chair of education in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and director of the Musculoskeletal Longitudinal Course at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine in Arizona. Dr. Paynter is dual board-certified with more than 20 years of experience in PM&R and sports medicine and has a certification in acupuncture. She authored a chapter in Burnout in Women Physicians: Prevention, Treatment and Management. She is a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Certified High Performance and Life and Weight Loss Coach. Dr. Paynter partners with patients and athletes in attaining optimal health and performance so that they thrive in health and life.
