Dr. Garby’s interventional radiology practice focuses on vein disease and uterine fibroids, two common conditions. Millions of Americans have varicose veins and many women will develop fibroids at some point in their lives.
Varicose veins occur when the valves in your veins are weak or damaged. “I’m pleased to be able to provide state-of-the-art treatment for venous valve failure through a tiny incision, right in my office,” says Garby.
Fibroids, non-cancerous tumors, can cause heavy bleeding and discomfort. “Instead of a hysterectomy, there’s a minimally-invasive procedure which cuts off the fibroid’s blood supply, causing it to shrink, thereby resolving symptoms,” explains Garby. “It’s rewarding to help my patients feel better with less down-time.”
