Dr. Ayad Agha is a board-certified interventional radiologist at IYA Medical in Scottsdale Arizona.
A native of Ohio, Dr. Agha earned his Doctorate of Pharmacy at The Ohio State University and a Masters in Nuclear Pharmacy at the University of Southern California. He then completed medical school at Midwestern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Chicago Illinois, followed by a surgical internship at St. Luke’s Medical Center and Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Chicago Illinois. He completed residency in diagnostic Pediatric Interventional Radiology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and the world-renowned Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Agha then completed fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology and Interventional Oncology at the University of California-San Diego.
Dr. Agha is an Associate Professor of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at the University of Arizona Medical School. Dr. Agha is a Clinical Professor of the Health & Science Department at Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University.
Dr. Agha’s clinical focus lies in vascular disease and tumor ablations. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of deep venous thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, advanced venous interventions including trans-arterial chemo embolization; IVC insertion and complex filter removal; treatment of vascular malformations; treatment of uterine fibroids and advanced biliary interventions, prostate artery embolization, tumor ablation; bone tumor ablation, tumor-targeting technologies and locoregional tumor therapies, kyphoplasty, spiral tumor ablation, spiral back pain and vertebral body augmentation.
He is certified by the American Board of Radiology, and a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology. Dr. Agha is also a Certified Nuclear Pharmacist. He participates as a medical advisor to several device companies and as a medical consultant with product design in the field of Interventional Radiology.
