Blueberry Hill

It’s unlikely rock ‘n’ roll legend Fats Domino understood the benefits of flavonoids or antioxidants when he recorded his 1956 hit single “Blueberry Hill.” Mixologists at hip Arcadia burger joint The Grind, on the other hand, knew exactly what they were doing when they created a cocktail with the salubrious superfruit and named it after Domino’s chart topper.

Find your thrill by muddling 6-8 fresh mint leaves in a tall shaker. Fill it with 1.5 oz. Absolut Berri Açaí and 3/4 oz. each simple syrup, fresh lime juice and blueberry puree, then shake, rattle and roll the ingredients. Finally, strain over ice and top with a lime slice. The finished product is as strong and velvety smooth as Domino’s vocals, with a tart aftertaste that boogie-woogies across your taste buds.
