Second location to open later this year
Arizona Beer Week is still days away from tapping, but the craft beer news is rather tasty today.
Greenwood Brewing announced it will open a new location in downtown Chandler later this year, inside a mixed-use destination space called The AJ. The building is within pub-crawl distance from other craft brewing favorites such as SanTan Brewing Company, Pedal Haus Brewery and The Perch.
In a press release sent out on Tuesday, Greenwood noted the location at 55 N. Arizona Place is surrounded by beautiful parks and community gathering spaces – and the taproom is inspired by community, craft and connection.
Founder Megan Greenwood started her brewing journey in Chandler more than a decade ago, starting with a home-brew kit in her garage. In 2020, she opened her eponymous Downtown Phoenix brewery in the middle of the COVID lockdowns. Greenwood has emerged as one of the most-decorated breweries in Arizona since:
- 11-time medal winner at the Arizona Craft Beer Awards (3 in 2025, 3 in 2024, 3 in 2023, and 2 in 2022)
- 2025 Arizona Travel Awards winner for Best Brewery
The new Chandler location will feel much like the spot on Roosevelt Row, with indoor-outdoor space designed to feel fresh, thoughtful and welcoming. Guests can enjoy craft beer, wine, light bites and picnic baskets available to take into the nearby park.
A specific opening date has not been announced.
