Not since a brewery taproom opened two blocks from my house have I been more excited for a new spot to open than this!

Today on the podcast, we get a sneak peak at Catalyst Crafted Ales in Tempe. It’s the same people who were at Ad Astra in Prescott. They closed Ad Astra in the summer and moved down here to the Valley to focus on Catalyst Crafted Ales and based on the conversation we had with co-owner and head brewer Will Walthereson, it’s one of the more highly anticipated places to open here in the Valley in quite some time. Not only are they bringing their award-winning barrel-aged program, but also a game-changing approach to seltzers… plus they’ll have a taco shop on site from SALT sea and land tacos that started as a food truck and is now a brick-and-mortar location inside Catalyst Crafted Ales. Enrique, the head chef, joins us in the middle of this interview to tell us about his specialty: the Octopus taco!
