Located in the middle of the lower Grand Avenue Arts District is an industrial-warm building serving a unique and wide-ranging menu of award-winning beers.

Grand Avenue Brewing hosted this latest episode of the Arizona Craft Beer Reviews, and we must say: it lives up to the philosophy of handcrafting excellent beers that merit ordering another.

John Coll and Matt Mercer are the owner/partner/brewer combo behind this three-year-old brewery that neighbors the Downtown Phoenix area. It’s a great spot for a pregame or pre-concert meal and beer, or for those who have to wait for a table at Bacanora, or if you’re looking for a cool neighborhood hangout. If you’re not in the area, you may soon be in luck because Grand Avenue Brewing is in talks to distribute bottles to AJ’s Fine Foods in early 2023.

Coll and Mercer show off their award-winning styles including the Happy Jack Cream Ale, Raspberry Sour and the Bourbon Barrel-Aged Cherry Dubbel — all top notch and worth checking out. Give the podcast at listen to learn more about Coll and Mercer and the story behind Grand Avenue Brewing and some of their beers.

You can sample Grand Avenue Brewing beers at the Arizona Craft Beer Awards & Festival coming up on October 22 in Glendale.
