We’ve made it to the unofficial end of Summer — even though we all know we’re not getting rid of these 100+ degree days for at least a few more weeks. Quench your thirst over the 3-day Labor Day Weekend with a new craft beer from a local brewery. Here are our picks.

Sunset Condor Helles Bock at Bone Haus Brewing

Oktoberfest beers are everywhere right now because of beer festival awards season and because the calendar is ready for it! Yes, we’re rolling into September and before you know it, October will be here… which means the Arizona Craft Beer Awards & Festival will be here soon. Get tickets here and get your Sunset Condor on draft or in cans at the Bone Haus taproom in Fountain Hills, available now.

Bavarian Hefeweizen at Lake Pleasant Brewing

The lineup of fall beers continues to sweep the Valley with this fresh new batch of hefe from the newish north Phoenix brewery. Enjoy it on draft in the taproom or take it to go in cans.

Strawberry Kiwi Frontside at 12 West Brewing

This combination was the GOAT of Snapple flavors back in the day and now its here in IPA form. I’ll snap into it since 12 West already has it on draft and in cans at both the Gilbert and downtown Mesa locations.

Weizen & Moving Parts at Wren House Brewing

Autumn is not yet in the air, but it’s in your pint glass this weekend at the Wren House. Weizen Pilsner uses German base malts and Arizona grown wheat and malt for a style that Wren House has never tried before. Available on draft and in four-packs.

Also new to the taproom only is a German Pilsner collab with Dark Sky Brewing called Moving Parts. Celebrate fall early this year.

Legend of Zymur at 8-Bit Aleworks

The legend lives on. 8-Bit’s flagship double IPA is back in cans for to-go customers.

Anniversary Beers at Arizona Wilderness Brewing

Congrats to the team at Arizona Wilderness for nine years in business at the original Gilbert location. The new releases begin Thursday, September 1 with Passion Fruit Puffy smoothie sour and ends Monday, September 5 with 9th Anniversary Honey DIPA. There are nine new beers in total and we did a whole podcast on it last week, so give it a listen and try out the new food menu items. Our own Johann Warnholtz is a big fan as you’ll see in the video below.

OLDER RELEASES, BUT STILL WORTH SEEKING

Anniversary Beers at Front Pourch Brewing

The beers aren’t just cleverly named — they’re very good too! The talented team at Front Pourch celebrated three years in business last weekend and reportedly still has a few of its anniversary beers available to take home. Check out the new S’mores Stout, Thiol Greyjoy hazy IPA, Lookin’ Good Berry kettle sour and Shreddie Munson IPA.

Pistachio Shake from Arizona Wilderness Brewing

We wrote about this in our 2021 year-in-beer review as the one beer we’d like to see available more often. Alas, it’s still a seasonal release for now and Saturday, August 20 is the release date for this year’s batch. The milkshake double IPA features pistachios, vanilla beans, milk sugar and marshmallow fluff from the Toasted Mallow in Gilbert. This once-a-year beer won’t be around long, so snag some while you can.

Double Release at Goldwater Brewing

We found it! Goldwater’s can art on the upcoming Casual Pint West Coast IPA collab is easily the best label we’ve seen in 2022. The pint glass relaxing in a recliner is our kind of mood. Look for this one on draft and in cans starting on Friday, August 19, along with Lizard Tail hazy pale ale.

Coconuss at Wren House Brewing

If you’re a fan of imperial stouts and Girl Scout Samoa cookies, this is the beer for you. Coming in at 11.8% ABV, Coconuss is expected to be available later this week for $14 per bottle.

AAWL Ale Wagger at Walter Station Brewery

Pour one for a pet this weekend. Limited edition cans of Ale Wagger go on sale Saturday to benefit the Arizona Animal Welfare League, which focuses on adoptions and veterinary care for animals across the Valley. Cuddle up to a puppy at Walter Station during the launch party from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday.

Alewife’s Pumpkin Pie at Desert Monks Brewing

Marzen is back whether we like it or not. We actually love it because it means the Great American Beer Fest silver medal winning marzen from Desert Monks is back on tap and available in four-pack cans to go.
