We may need to raise up at least seven beers this weekend in honor of another seven-year brewery anniversary. Last weekend it was Goldwater Brewing Co., this weekend it’s Wren House Brewing that gets to celebrate. We’re thankful they don’t have that seven-year itch and we can sip on their bangin’ brews for a long time to come.

Here’s the rest of our picks for newly released craft beers across the Valley this weekend. Cheers, and drink responsibly!

Anniversary Beers at Wren House Brewing

Copper and wool are traditionally the gifts for a seventh wedding anniversary, but I think we can all agree we’d rather have IPAs, pilsners and barrel-aged stouts. It’s all possible this weekend thanks to the brewing masters at Wren House. The new beer releases start with a German pilsner and dry-hopped double IPA on Friday morning at the Phoenix taproom location. Another double IPA releases Saturday alongside a Bottle Logic imperial stout collaboration. The festivities go on all week long. Cheers to seven years!

Cinco IPA at Huss Brewing

I knew two years of Spanish in high school would prepare me for the real world. Cinco means five, and in the case of this brew, it signifies five years in business for the Uptown Huss Brewing Co. taproom and kitchen near Camelback Road and Central Avenue in Phoenix. Cinco IPA pairs well with one of those giant pretzels they serve at that great location. Una cerveza más, por favor! Told ya my Spanish was pretty good.

Moonage Daydream from Arizona Wilderness Brewing

The Dirty Hop Water series gets the David Bowie treatment. Borrowing the name of the classic Bowie song, this latest edition of Wildernesshazy IPA playlist is brewed using Belma, Idaho 7 and Triumph hops – all intensely fruity and aromatic individually, as well as when combined. Look for it to release on Thursday, April 28, at both locations. Pairs well with trying to figure out the lyrics.

Gorilla Juice at Simple Machine Brewing

Ah, so that’s how the mascot jumps so high. While this new hazy IPA from Simple Machine has a can label utilizing the colors of our local professional basketball team, it’s in no way affiliated with the No. 1 seed in the playoffs – but it is perfectly fine to consume during those games. Look for Gorilla Juice on tap starting Thursday night and in cans Friday. Pairs well with moving on to the second round.

I’m Just Beer So I Won’t Get Fined from 12 West Brewing

Seriously, one of the greatest-named beers of all time from our friends over at 12 West. This double IPA first debuted in 2021 and is back just in time for the NFL Draft on Thursday. Pairs well with putting a microphone in the face of a highly perturbed professional athlete.
