Patios are having a major moment right now. Chalk it up to our fabulous spring weather and our need to socially distance in open-air spaces due to COVID-19, but no real estate has been as prime for restaurants of late as their patios. This spring, one slab stepped into the ring to KO them all: The Revelry at Mesa Riverview shopping center, whose canopy clocks in at 20,000 square feet of covered outdoor patio.
The Revelry is a 62,000-square-foot mixed-use entertainment destination with fire pits, TVs, restaurants and bars. It’s located less than a mile from Sloan Park in Mesa, the spring training home of the Chicago Cubs. Debuting the state’s largest patio by spring 2021 was paramount for The Revelry’s owner/operator, That’s Eatertainment Corp.
“We look forward to welcoming spring training fans this season to our large, open patio perfect for enjoying Arizona’s terrific spring weather,” That’s Eatertainment president Mike Merendino says. “The Revelry is the ideal place to celebrate after watching a baseball game… or to catch a game on our extensive patio while tasting some of the Valley’s best food and drink options.”
Those options include Rev Brewing Co., Crust Simply Italian, Calavera Tacos, K9 Cantina, Hunter & Hen American Grille, Herb & Vine Healthy Living Café, The Ostrich II and The Ritual Coffee & Dessert Bar. Private VIP patio boxes are available (each holds up to six people and features a 15-foot TV screen, craft beer and various dining options). The Revelry also hosts culinary pop-ups, so check the website for current happenings. Additionally, the destination offers recreation options such as cornhole, darts, retro arcade games, NextLink’s high-tech putting experience and Modern Round, a virtual shooting range.
Memberships are available, and construction on a second phase is set to begin soon. Future plans for the space: a dog park bar, a brewery and a curated food hall. The Revelry is just beginning.
