Buying from black-owned businesses is a simple, yet important way to show your support to the black community. The Phoenix Black Collective put together a helpful guide to black-owned restaurants in the greater Phoenix area so Valley residents can stand in solidarity with its black community members. You can find the restaurant list on Local First Arizona’s website, as well as other helpful resources. “You can start today, you can start tomorrow — the important thing is to start,” Local First’s statement says. According to its website, Local First is also working on a more comprehensive list of other black-owned businesses, black artists and organizations to support.
