I know a lot of people hate on Valentine’s Day for one reason or another, but I actually think it’s a fun holiday, whether you’re in a relationship or not. Personally, I think it’s sweet we have a day dedicated to being romantic and/or finding ways to tell people in your life that you appreciate them.

If you’re looking for a unique, local way to say “I love you” check out these ideas:

1. Treats from Urban Cookie ($2-50)
Gone are the days of receiving free candy from classmates, but you can give your Valentine’s Day desserts an upgrade with something sweet from Urban Cookie. I personally recommend purchasing a “Cupid’s Cookie Jar” comprised solely of six double chocolate with sea salt cookies, but that’s just me.

2. Arizona bottle opener from Frances ($40)
Never again will your significant other complain that you shouldn’t only own a wine bottle corkscrew and need to invest in an actual bottle opener because not every beer has a twist cap (guilty). This kit has both a full-sized bottle opener and a mini to stick on a keychain.

3. A bag of Lux Central espresso beans ($15)
This may sound a bit niche, but in this coffee-obsessed age there’s a good chance your Valentine either owns an espresso machine or works at an office with one.

4. Shower wine glass holder from Francesca’s ($16)
Avoid a nightmare wine-in-tub situation by using this ingenious wine glass holder. Think of this gift as the antithesis to the bottle opener!
