So Far, So Good: A New Cocktail Bar Comes to The Churchill

A new cocktail concept just opened at The Churchill, an urban marketplace made of shipping containers in Downtown Phoenix.

The all-new bar, So Far, So Good, will replace Pobrecito, which closed on August 31. Spearheaded by The Churchill’s new beverage director, Sam Olguin, So Far, So Good will serve unique cocktails featuring fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs.

“So Far, So Good is an approachable neighborhood cocktail bar, where we’re not pigeonholed to a certain type of spirits or theme, but instead we’re focused on serving up a variety of interesting but straightforward drinks,” Olguin says.

The bar, which underwent a month-long remodel, features minimalistic décor with black, white and gold accents.

The Brill Line, the bar adjacent to So Far, So Good, also got a revamp. Patrons can expect a new menu of draft cocktails, shareable punch bowls and “unique and lesser known classics,” Olguin says.

The Churchill is home to 10 small businesses operating out of shipping containers. Anchored by a 9,000-square-foot courtyard with communal tables, the development hosts weekly curated events that include speakers, art classes, pop-up art galleries and nonprofit fundraisers.
