D. Eric Steidley, MD, is chair of heart failure and cardiac transplant and serves as the Medical Director of the Heart Transplant Program at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. He specializes in the treatment of heart failure, heart transplant, and mechanical circulatory support. He completed medical school at Rutgers University followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at Case Western Reserve/University Hospitals of Cleveland. His fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases was at Temple University and he joined Mayo Clinic in 2003. His clinical research interests include cardiac amyloidosis, heart failure devices, biomarkers and cardiovascular risk assessment in renal transplant recipients.
