Ali Turkmani, M.D., is a neurosurgeon at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, where he specializes in cerebrovascular, endovascular and skull base neurosurgery, as well as microsurgical treatment of brain tumors in minimally invasive spinal surgery.
Dr. Turkmani’s clinical interests include stroke and carotid artery disease, brain aneurysms, vascular malformation of the brain and spinal cord, Cavernous-carotid fistula, Dural arteriovenous fistula, orbital tumors, and more.
Dr. Turkmani earned his medical degree and completed a pathology residency at Damascus University. He went on to complete an additional residency in neurosurgery at American University of Beirut and a neurosurgery residency at the University of Texas. Dr. Turkmani completed a cerebrovascular fellowship at the University of Illinois Chicago and a fellowship in neuroendovascular surgery at the University of Texas.
