“The day after the second supermoon of 2018… I took this shot from one of the highest points of the Desert Classic Trail in South Mountain Park, Phoenix. The particular location appealed to me while hiking the trail a few days earlier, when I noticed the cacti would make a nice silhouette when projected over the [Superstition Mountains] in the background. While this is technically not a supermoon, I found it equally impressive and worth a hike in the dark.”
