Quartzsite Chamber of Commerce & Tourism
Helmed by the gloriously named Shanana Rain Golden-Bear, the QCCT opened in December 2015 and is run by a staff of volunteers. The chamber is located on Main Street – “across from the McDonald’s,” its website directs – and is open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with expanded hours in the winter. Pop in for advice on exploring Quartzsite and a business directory.

Arizona Peace Trail
One of QCCT’s biggest projects has been promoting Quartzsite as the “Gateway to the Arizona Peace Trail,” a 750-mile off-highway-vehicle (OHV) trail that snakes through the Sonoran Desert, from Yuma to Bullhead City. Adrenaline junkies and nature lovers alike will be awed by the canyons, washes, red rocks and saguaros along the route.

Tree City USA
Log a little tree-hugging time in Quartzsite, which earned an Arbor Day Foundation Tree City USA distinction in 2016 for its efforts to protect its mesquites, ironwoods and acacias. To earn the honor, cities must have a municipal tree board or department, an ordinance mandating tree care, an annual community forestry budget of $2 per capita or more, and an Arbor Day proclamation and observance.
