Plastic Surgery

Med school: Texas Tech University

Years in practice: 15

Being able to help people is what inspired me to be a doctor.

I love my specialty because: I have the ability to transform people’s lives through surgery.

My best day on the job so far was when: any day a happy patient returns to my office and tells me how great they feel.

My worst day on the job so far was when: I had to reconstruct the face of a child with a horrible dog bite – but it had a happy ending – she did great!

If I weren’t a doctor, I would be:
a professional photographer.

When I’m not working, I love to: spend time with my wife,
three boys and two dogs. I love to work out, run, swim and play basketball.

I should know better as a doctor, but I just can’t help indulging in: Mexican food!

If I could change anything about health care, I would: limit the power of insurance companies and the federal government to dictate policy.

Medical marijuana: Yay or nay? Yay, only if well regulated

If my patients could describe me in three words, they’d say I am:
caring, compassionate and meticulous.
