Dermatology

Med school:
Creighton University

Years in practice: 11

My parents inspired me to be a doctor.

I love my specialty because: I see patients of all ages with many different conditions.

My best day on the job so far was when: I finally discovered the cause of a patient’s skin condition that they had suffered with for many years.

My worst day on the job so far was when: I discovered that a long-time patient had metabolic cancer.

If I weren’t a doctor, I would be: a basketball coach.

When I’m not working, I love to:
spend time with my wife
and kids. Also to practice Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

I should know better as a doctor, but I just can’t help indulging in:
junk food.

If I could change anything about health care, I would: like to see an easier interaction between physicians and insurance companies.

Medical marijuana: Yay or nay? Yay

If my patients could describe me in three words, they’d say I am:
on time, focused and friendly.

Best TV medical drama ever: Grey’s Anatomy
