Brad Sorosky, MD

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation/Pain Management

Med school: University of Texas – Southwestern

Years in practice: 6

My father inspired me to be a doctor.

I love my specialty because: it allows me to help others in a meaningful way. By reducing patients’ pain and improving function, I can facilitate return to their sport, work, and family activities.

My best day on the job so far was when: my wife, Dr. Susan Sorsoky, and I opened up our own practice, Desert Spine and Sports Physicians.

My worst day on the job so far was when: There is no worst day. Practicing medicine is a privilege and I enjoy every day.

If I weren’t a doctor, I would be: in finance.

When I’m not working, I love to: spend time with my family playing baseball or riding bikes through the neighborhood.

I should know better as a doctor, but I just can’t help indulging in: chips and salsa

If I could change anything about health care, I would: place more emphasis on prevention and healthier lifestyles.

Medical marijuana: Yay or nay? Abstain

If my patients could describe me in three words, they’d say I am:
compassionate, knowledgeable and effective.
