Pink from Dos Cabezas WineWorks

“Last year, we gave Pink a full 24 hours on the skin, and this year we pressed it right away, but it’s still richer in pink color than last year,” owner/winemaker Todd Bostock says. That’s the result of the dark primitivo (zinfandel) grape.

Bostock is serious about making rosé and says next year the winery will dedicate acreage specifically for growing grapes for rosé, going back to the more traditional French style. Look for a new label on next year’s Pink, too. Dos Cabezas is collaborating with Chris Bianco’s artist father to design the new look.

Find Dos Cabezas 2010 Pink ($16-$18) at the Urban Grocery, AZ Wine and Total Wine, or order online through the winery.
