Travis Lambros, his brother Adam, and their father, Dean, started selling their spicy pickled vegetables at area farmers’ markets (Roadrunner, Downtown Phoenix Public Market and Old Town Scottsdale) in April 2010. You can also order them online, and Lambros is working on a plan to get them into grocery stores, too.
Choose from pickles, green beans, celery, mushrooms ($10 each) or asparagus ($12). Buy a four-pack for $36, and if you pick up a frequent buyer card, your seventh product is free.
Not too sweet, with a noticeable spicy bite and crunchy texture (except for the mushrooms), we’re crazy about these pickled vegetables, perfect for a summer barbecue or to liven up a Bloody Mary.
