for the brownies – and the house.
To say the “million-dollar brownies” are rich is an understatement. Jones starts with semi-sweet chocolate, butter and extra dark cocoa powder, resulting in brownies that are closer to fudge than cake.
JJ’s Brownies are available in 18 flavors. The most popular is Raspberry Kiss, with real raspberries (seeds and all), white chocolate chips and a splash of raspberry liqueur. Caramel Camelback Crunch is swirled with caramel and a healthy amount of pecans and walnuts, and Some Like it Hot has a touch of chipotle powder.
Besides traditional three-inch square brownies ($22 for a six-pack), JJ’s offers a brownie tart ($35) that feeds eight to 10 people. The newest product is mini heart-shaped brownies hand-dipped in chocolate ($10.50 for a box of three).
Order the brownies online at jjsbrownies.com and look for them at special events around the Valley, such as the Chiles and Chocolate Festival at the Desert Botanical Garden November 11-13.
