In April,
PHOENIX magazine columnist Jana Bommersbach won a 2009 Humanitarian Award from Arizona Women’s Partnership, a local nonprofit. The award was based on her column in August 2008 about Dibor Roberts, a Prescott-area nurse who was involved in a police chase simply because she refused to pull her car over in a dimly lit, rural area.
The case in Yavapai County Superior Court was fodder for the Arizona Right to Light Bill, which was still pending at the Arizona Legislature at press time.
