History: Vallone is a well-known name in the Southwest design community. Donna Vallone is a longtime interior designer who launched Vallone Design nearly a decade ago. Her daughter, Berkley, is following in her mother’s footsteps, and was named a Phoenix Home & Garden Young Gun in 2006. In 2008, the duo opened a warehouse for their stock of antiques, custom pieces and unique finds. At first available only by appointment for clients, it has been open to the public since last fall.

Philosophy:
“My dream has been to have a showroom with vignettes, where you can walk in and buy a whole room,” explains Donna. Berkley adds that she and her mother enjoy traveling around the U.S. and Europe and searching for unusual pieces.

What’s in store:
The 9,400-square-foot, two-story shop is filled with furniture, accessories, artwork, lighting, rugs and more. Offerings include new and vintage mirrors, antique shoe molds adorned with vintage brooches, and mercury glass tabletop pieces. Antique furnishings, as well as vintage finds repurposed into new pieces, are paired with custom-made and artisan wares. Garden stools, old maps and one-of-a-kind framed vintage perfume labels and matchbooks also are available. Arteriors Home, Baker, Hickory Chair, and EJ Victor are a few of the manufacturers carried.

Don’t miss:
Looking for a statement piece (or a way to haul your loot home after a day of shopping)? The showroom regularly carries antique Louis Vuitton trunks and suitcases.
