The HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center Women’s Center houses the Essential Touch Wellness Center, where patients as well as community members have access to a wide variety of healing therapies, from massages and manicures to facials and body wraps. Hospital patients can request in-room treatments or, if they’re up to it, visit the center in person.

The center also houses a gym staffed by certified fitness experts to help formulate an exercise plan specific to your needs. After enrolling in a fitness startup ($50), which includes a wellness evaluation, you can join the gym for $20 a month. If you just want to check it out, there’s a $5 one-day pass. Personal training and wellness coaching sessions are also available. See website for prices.

If you’re looking for a therapeutic massage, Essential Touch has reasonable prices – $80 for 60 minutes and $100 for 90 minutes. They also offer chair massage and reflexology, hot stone massages, pre-and-post natal massages, parent-infant massage instruction, deep-tissue massages and manual lymph drainage.

The center’s Essential Touch Boutique stocks health and medical products for women, including breast pumps, nursing bras, the full line of Bare Escentuals cosmetics and other skincare products.

Proceeds from spa services benefit the hospital’s Women and Children’s Services. Essential Touch Wellness Center employees don’t accept gratuities.
