Give a vintage Enco gas station the ol’ spit and polish, and you have Kitchen 56, an adorable retro-modern restaurant owned by Arcadia locals. The broad menu and dual view of flat screens and vintage automotive signs draws an eclectic mix of regular Joes and neighborhood hipsters. The magic number here is – not surprisingly – 56. Score $4.56 drafts and $5.56 specialty cocktails, well drinks and select appetizers every day. On the $5.56 menu, chicken wings combine with a trio of adult lemonades for a summertime picnic classic.

A serene place to wind down after a difficult day, the Ritz-Carlton’s elegant eatery is posh without feeling overly fussy. The soft Mediterranean color palette soothes tired eyes, and hanging lanterns cast a soft glow off the marble bar.
