PHM0416EB JB 01The original Arizona Biltmore tequila sunrise mimics the sherbet hues of Phoenix’s morning skies. Jalapeño Business is Flourish’s modern take on the classic drink, with cold-pressed juices standing in for crème de cassis, and jalapeño added to fuel its Southwest fire. “This cocktail was inspired by the beautiful – and surprisingly bountiful – Sonoran desert that I stare at all day long outside our floor-to-ceiling windows,” says general manager Charlie Floyd.


Start by muddling two pinches of cilantro in a mixing glass with the juice of two fresh lime wedges. Add 2 oz. jalapeño-infused silver tequila, 3 oz. carrot and blood orange juice blend and ¾ oz. cilantro-infused agave nectar. Add ice to fill. Box (pour in and out of a shaker once), then pour into a large rocks glass. Garnish with veggies and serve over ice for a bright and healthful spring tipple.
