Bin 239
Pizza/Wine bar
Prescott, Arizona - 239 N. Marina St. - 928-445-3855 - $$
Here’s a wine bar and pizzeria boasting big-city sophistication and small-town charm in one deliciously accessible package. Thanks to owner Kelly Keller, the global and constantly changing wine list features boutique (and often highly allocated) wines, and thanks to his wife, Karen, the house-made desserts are yummy. Great wood-fired pizza, too. Lunch and dinner M-Sa.
Bomberos Café & Wine Bar
Wine bar
Phoenix, Arizona - 8801 N. Central Ave - 602-687-8466 - $$
Housed in a former fire station in Sunnyslope, this South American-inspired café and wine bar serves terrific coffees and pastries in the morning and panini at noon. But it comes to life in the evening, when votive candles lend a lovely glow to a comfortable room furnished with sofas and wine crate coffee tables. The menu features bruschetta, cheese plates and charcuterie; wines are South American. Fabulous patio; weekend entertainment. Continental breakfast and lunch daily; evening snacks M-Sa

Grazie
Pizza/Wine bar
Scottsdale, Arizona - 6952 E. Main St. - 480-663-9797 - $$
Sponged walls, colorful art and a wood-fired oven give this popular gathering place the warmth and liveliness of a European café. Salads, crostini, calzones and a lengthy Italian wine list. Lunch M-Sa, dinner nightly.
La Bocca
Pizza/Wine bar
Tempe, Arizona - 699 S. Mill Ave. - 480-967-5244 - $$$
Urban, hip and casual, La Bocca boasts prime real estate in Mill Avenue’s Brickyard (next to Borders). La Bocca is going for a different crowd – the slightly more mature diner who appreciates a glass of wine with their thin-crusted, brick-oven pizza. Thank goodness the pizza is actually good. Using organic flour, the dough gets handmade in-house then rises for 24 hours. Finally, it’s topped with fresh, mostly organic, local toppings before it goes into a 650-degree brick for four to five minutes. The resulting crust is paper-thin in the middle and thick, chewy and slightly charred toward the edges. Just like we like it. We also love La Bocca’s vibe – offering one of only a couple places on Mill for the mature set to mingle. 11 a.m.-10 p.m., M-W; 11 a.m.-11 p.m., Th; 11 a.m.-midnight, F-Sa. laboccapizzeria.com
Postino
Wine bar
Phoenix, Arizona - 3939 E. Campbell Ave. - 602-852-3939 - $$
Housed in the old Arcadia post office, the aptly named Postino offers paninis, salads, interesting wines, and great snacks to go with them. An open-air feeling makes this yuppie haven a must in good weather. Don’t miss the bruschetta sampler. Lunch and dinner M-Sa.
Sweet O Wine & Chocolate Lounge
Sandwiches/Wine bar
West Valley, Arizona - 9380 W. Westgate Blvd., Glendale - 623-877-3898 - $$
Chocoholics, beware! This sunny, casual café and wine bar has more chocolate than you’ll know what to do with: hand-made candies, chocolate desserts, chocolate flights, hot chocolate, even a chocolate panini, which is not to be missed. Oh yeah, there are plenty of interesting panini and wine-friendly snacks too — as if you care. Lunch and dinner daily.
The Cave Creek Coffee Co. & Wine Bar
Coffeehouse/Wine bar
Carefree / Cave Creek, Arizona - 6033 E. Cave Creek Rd., Cave Creek - 480-488-0603 - $
A fireplace and curving concrete bar make this a great hangout for wine enthusiasts and munchers. Don’t miss the bruschetta or the fresh organic greens salad strewn with avocados, mangoes and spit-roasted chicken. Breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
